Envirogreen Is a registered multidisciplinary environmental and social impact firm, established in Rwanda in 2020 offering a wide range of environmental related services. The company implements multidisciplinary projects that require ‘green’ environmental expertise. We combine expertise that is available in Rwanda and Africa, and we put it to work.
How We do it!
We implement studies and help develop policies, plans and projects in relation to the use and conservation of biological resources, including forestry and ecotourism. We also monitor the social and environmental impacts of agriculture, mining, infrastructure and other projects. We also advise on the valuation of environmental resources and certification of their sustainable use.
In addition, we design and implement customized training modules and short courses. We also assist organizations in designing and managing projects, fundraising and recruiting staff.

EXECUTIVE BOARD
Dr Egide Kalisa
Managing Director
Dr Kalisa is currently a Postdoc at the University of Toronto in Canada. he obtained a PhD in Health and Environmental Science at the Auckland University of Technology in New Zealand and MSc Air Pollution Management and Control obtained from the University of Birmingham in the UK.
He studied exposure to air pollution, understanding how much pollution people breathe, and how to reduce those exposures. His specific areas of focus are Air pollution impacts of urban form, Indoor Air pollution, and health impacts, Environmental noise pollution, Bioaerosol, and air quality and heatwaves.
His research is connected to his own personal story; the effect of air pollution in his own life motivated him to improve conditions not only in his home country Rwanda but also in Africa as a whole and worldwide.
He has a very strong analytical chemistry background with the ability to quantify difficult non-traditional pollutants, such as PAHs and NPAHs, which are not commonly measured by government monitoring programs because of the specialized techniques that are required.
He has considerable experience working with multidisciplinary and international research teams, and my commitment to a scientific career has driven me to lead the nascent field of air quality research in sub-Saharan Africa.
His current projects are Children exposure to ambient air pollution at school in Rwanda and in Canada, Interdependence of Indoor and outdoor air pollution in Rwanda households.
Francis Gasana
Director
Francis Gasana holds a Masters degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Remote Sensing from Manchester Metropolitan University, a British public university located in North West England.
He is a professional GIS Analyst with 8 years experience in geometric and construction engineering through his involvement in a number of projects. He is currently the Managing Director of Geosurveys International Ltd a position he has held since 2007.
In his career, he has worked on feasibility studies, as well as execution of various engineering projects within East Africa such as urban planning, topographical surveys, irrigation projects, sites Management etc.
Specific projects he has worked on include, Kigali City GIS Planning & Deed Plan Production, Design and implementation of various Imidugudu (Cells) Projects, Developing Nyamasheke District and Kirehe District Master Plans, plus a number of engineering surveys, feasibility studies and topography and mapping surveys etc.
Moses Kazoora
Director
Moses Kazoora holds a Master of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of Leicester. He is an experienced Marketing and Communication Expert with over 15 years’ experience in Marketing and Strategic Communication, Media Management, Events Management, Advocacy and PR, Journalism and Media Management in Public and Private sector.
He is passionate about environmental protection related activities, value chain addition, agriculture, trade and real estate.
As Marketing and Communications Consultant with Enviroserve Rwanda Green Park Ltd and in partnership with Rwanda Utilities Regulatory Authority (RURA), and Rwanda Environment Management Authority (REMA), Moses was part of the steering committee that launched a nationwide awareness campaign to build a sustainable e-waste management ecosystem in Rwanda with the main aim of sensitising informal e-waste handlers to operate in fulfillment of the national regulations governing e-waste management in Rwanda, which were launched in March 2020. Throughout this campaign 300 unemployed youth and women were trained to become E waste specialist.
Moses was also at the helm of E-waste collection points project intended to establish e-waste collection points in each district of the country, in partnership with Global leap. The project set up E-waste collection points in all provinces of the country including Kigali City.
He also facilitated the Implementation of two different projects that aimed at improving the sustainability of our environment and protection of human health. One to ensure the sustainable collection and treatment of end of life solar products and waste batteries in Rwanda through partnership with Global Leap Awards, other different institutions and Carnegie melon as an innovation partner; and another that aims to extend batteries lifespans in Rwanda through partnership with Aceleron and in collaboration with various solar companies and the government of Rwanda.
