Global warming has been an undisputed reality of our present livelihoods; our world is warming up, and we are surely part of the problem. However, this is not the only environmental problem that we should be talking with. Present environmental challenges, including climate change, water shortages, soil degradation, habitat destruction, emissions, deforestation and demand sustained action require concerted effort and urgent attention from all levels of society.

Present environmental issues leave us vulnerable to floods and tragedies, both now and in the future. We are in a state of ecological emergency, with environmental issues mounting high above us. If we approach the numerous problems prudently and seriously, we are likely to be destined for disaster.
